Leaders change, opinions change, worldly laws and rules change. What a privilege it is to serve the One who will never change. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever,” Hebrews 13.8 ESV. Our eternal Leader will never change. Nor will He ever fail us or lead us astray. This, this is what brings us peace.

Merit [Romans 5.1-5]
To be honest, I have always struggled with the concept of the Gospel of Grace. Maybe it’s my American upbringing, where hard work is needed to accomplish great things; or from my own idea of fairness, where there is an even trade between effort and reward; or maybe it’s just my pride, where I want to be in charge of my own destiny based on my own merits. Whatever the reason, as I get older, I have come to appreciate all the more the idea of justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus alone for my salvation!!!
