This portion of Scripture, which is called the ‘Song of Moses,’ is another example of this tension that the Israelites were called to intentionally sit in, no matter how uncomfortable it may have been.
Today we look into a rather heavy topic, with very severe consequences. But it is in these verses that we get a better understanding of how seriously Yahweh takes this idea of ‘sexual immorality.’
Knowing ‘who’ the One True God is will lead to a proper and healthy ‘why’ that propels a life that is willing to sacrifice so that He is honored, glorified, and worshipped. Theology will lead to doxology. And there cannot be one without the other.
We, like Moses, are gaining vision of the faithfulness of God by looking backward, only to look forward. Just look at the choice of words in these verses…
