Spreading the Good News [Luke 10.7-9a]

“The kingdom of God has come near to you. The kingdom of God has come near to you. The kingdom of God has come near to you”.  I could never repeat this enough. Such a precious gift today and every day just as it was back then. Our Messiah has come!

The disciples were to heal the sick by the power Jesus gave them, proclaiming “The kingdom of God has come near to you”.  What miraculous power.  Such awe-inspiring truth.  How amazed his disciples must have been to witness His power and be instruments of His peace.

Do we stand in the same amazement as instruments of His peace? Or have we become complacent to his saving power and grace?  Let us ponder the gift of our savior and pray for the same awe our predecessors had.  May we ever be mindful of our precious Messiah and the kingdom we each possess. Come, Lord Jesus, Come!

[Luke 10.7-9a]

7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8 Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
