Obtaining Mercy [Proverbs 28:13]

I love this verse.  I see it play out in counseling all the time.  People bound up in sins and struggling to break free.  Then, something beautiful happens.  They decide to take a risk and share and then, boom, GOD shows up with his healing touch.  Their faces changing from contorted to relaxed, their body language, once uptight softens. Their emotions settle.  What a beautiful thing GOD’S mercy is. His beautiful life-giving mercy and the freedom it brings.

I also see it play out in my day to day.  Turning to GOD with my struggles and experiencing the beautiful blanket of peace confession brings.  Such sweet relief.  Intimacy stored with almighty GOD.

Is there something binding? Lean into GOD today. Tell him your truth. He already knows it anyway.  Then watch him work.  After all, his mercies are new every morning.  So what are you waiting for?  Whatever it is, GOD already knows.  He’s simply waiting for you. He loves you.
