Growing Together [Luke 13.29-30]

Always wise, often speaking in parables, here we see Jesus explaining the coming of His kingdom. In this parable, the servants are eager to right a wrong and remove the weeds from the harvest, but the master will not allow it for he knows, in doing so, the wheat crop may be harmed as well.

It is the same for each of us. When the end time comes, there will be no more chances to repent and turn to the Lord. So, He is waiting, willing that none should perish. To end times now, many we love would not make it.

Same for Jesus. He doesn’t hold back for the saving of many lives solely, He does it out of love for He loves each of us, whether saved or unsaved. In Matthew 5.45, we read, “so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Jesus blesses us. Jesus loves us. Jesus loves all. Jesus desires to save all. Let’s pray we have hearts filled with the same desires as His!

[Luke 13.29-30]

29 But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
