At the beginning of this Advent season, let us look at prophecies that foretold Jesus’ birth from a thousand years before Him. In this passage, we see that the Lord in speaking to one of the kings of Israel foretells a sign that will forever change the nation of Israel. God will be with us, which is both one of the most wonderful things but also the most terrifying as we will be in the very presence of God. Let us reflect on this wonderful prophecy about our Lord who came to save us so that God may be with us always.
Isaiah 7.14
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
