Full Assurance of Faith [ Hebrews 10:22-25 ]

Life often times can be a struggle. It is easy to lose hope in the midst of trial and when we see the tragedies of this world. What Hebrews wants us to be encouraged in today is that in the midst of the failings of this world and ourself we can hold onto the hope of Christ’s reconciliation of this world.

We can hold onto the fact that Christ is who He says He is and has saved us not because of anything we have done, but because of who He is. When we are connected to community and when we gather regularly we are built up by our brothers and sisters. When we stumble we have a family of faith that can encourage us. When we are struggling sometimes we pull away and isolate ourselves. We are not meant to walk through this life alone, but to be together to remind each other of the hope in Christ.

WHAT is this passage saying and what is a key truth or thought that I/we learn?

(Use the questions to help make additional observations about the passage to clarify the main point)

22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

+ What are we instructed to do in Vs. 22?

+ What should our hearts be?

+ What should we “hold fast” to and why In vs. 23?
