10:02 AM – Wake Up to His Call! [Luke 10.2]

We set alarms to join a class or meetings. We set alarms for appointments and airplane departures. We set alarms for the oven to make sure the brownies turn out perfectly chewy and gooey! So why not take the “Tomassoni challenge” and set your alarm on repeat or at least 10:02 AM each day to pray for laborers consistent with today’s passage? Why not 10:02 PM while you are at it?

If we can set aside the time for the agendas of this world, make sure we make and take the time for His eternal appointments.

[Luke 10.2]

2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

[ WHAT ] is this passage saying and what is a key truth or thought that we learn?

+ Is Luke 10.2 a question or a command?

+ Matthew 7.7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." In the context of this verse in Luke, what are we to ask for and to whom do we ask?

+ Is He asking us to make the harvest?  Who cultivates the true growth of the heart to be harvested?  Be free in this truth and engage in this freedom to proclaim His glorious name.

[ HOW ] is the Lord calling me to action/obedience?

+ Is there sin to confess or a next step to take? How has it gone since last time?

+ "Many hands make light work."  Have you ever been one of the "hands" to serve and make it " light work?"  When, where, how did you answer the call to go and be the hands (and feet of the Church) in obedience to help with the harvest?  Where next?  Ask Him.

+ May we be accused of another adage: "Too many cooks in the kitchen." Don't wait to stir up and dish out His love and light.

[ WHO ] am I walking with and praying for to discover Jesus?

+ What is my next step?

+ Have you ever received the help to make your work be "light work?"  Who did God send to go out with you (Luke 10.1)?  Today, who is God asking you to join as a partner for the Gospel to pull in the "plentiful harvest?"

+ This very day, answer His call to be one of the workers to help bring in the harvest.  The Holy Spirit has grown and ripened the hearts of many for gathering to Him.  Who is He asking you to seek and be welcomed into the Kingdom feast and festival of eternal life through Christ?
