Today, as we open God’s Word to Luke 10 we see the narrative begins as Luke 9 began, with a sending. In chapter 9, Jesus sent out His closest 12. In Luke 10 we see his disciple makers have multiplied!

Last Friday we saw Jesus and His power over the wind and the waves. Tomorrow we will see His power over sickness and death. Today, Jesus shows his sovereignty over the demonic realm. Jesus is teaching His disciples in many tangible ways that His words have authority; authenticating them with Divine Power.

Tangible pictures are a blessing as we navigate the timeless truths and teachings of Jesus across generations, culture, and geography. Paul also goes way back to Moses to show a picture of a Rock who is timeless, can never be moved, and is worthy of our wholehearted love and joyful obedience...One who is a sure foundation...One we can come to when we are thirsty, in need, and unsure: Jesus, Himself.
