In this passage we see Jesus withdrawing into Galilee after John the Baptist's arrest and beginning his ministry saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" [v. 17]. Takeaway: The purpose of the Kingdom of Heaven is Jesus revealing his reign as light in the darkness of the ruins of our lives.
